Apart from scientific contributions in the field of sustainable and green chemistry, UG is responsible for Coordination and Project Management  and leads the Material Analysis and Life Cycle Assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wp-container-content-b959ccbe has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rug.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/refibre-dn.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/rug_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42\" style=\"aspect-ratio:2.000148389968838\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Rijksuniversiteit Groningen<\/strong> (RUG) brings to the Re-Fibre consortium specific interest and expertise in lignocellulose fractionation; lignin structural characterization; chemistry of renewables; catalysis; characterization of biomass and biomass-derived mixtures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unive.it\/web\/en\/497\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/refibre-dn.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/venice_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the ReFibre project, the group at <strong>Universita Ca\u2019 Foscari Venezia<\/strong> (UNIVE) will modify lignins by introducing dynamic covalent networks and adjusting their hydrophobicity and polarity. Decorateded lignins will be used to synthesize colloidal systems and produce resins with self-healing, anticorrosive, and controlled active-release properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<figure resin systems, developed by project partners, for lignin reassembly into wood scaffolds to produce high-strength, fully bio-based, and recyclable wood composites for targeted applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained
