Bcomp applies the latest composite knowledge to natural fibres to provide high-performance, sustainable lightweighting. Their solutions for large-scale mobility enable weight- and plastic reduction. Bcomp has been able to sell lot of reinforcements in the motor sports market, as a replacement for carbon fibres in the car body, decreasing the costs and improving the sustainability of those parts. In the recent years, Bcomp was able to attract customers in the large-scale automotive sector, by offering lightweight sustainable solutions for interior parts such as door panels, covers and seat-backs.
Bcomp’s R&D workshop holds all relevant equipment for thermoplastic and thermoset composite manufacturing. In addition, Bcomp has a characterisation lab to investigate the mechanical properties and the impregnation quality.
Bcomp is well equipped and experienced in training visiting students and offers office- as well as workshop-space for two doctoral candidates in the frame of the Re-Fibre project.
